A multi pair cable has more than one conductor in them. Each of these conductors is also covered in a PVC insulation. This is to extend the life of the cable. Each acronym refers to a kind of insulation or jacket that is wrapped around the copper wire. For the most part each of these forms of insulation are pretty much the same. Each kind of insulation has its own unique temperature rating. And each wire can only handle a specific level of voltage.
PVC stands for polyvinyl chloride. This is the most basic and the least expensive kind of hook up wire. It is generally used indoors and in electronics. The wire has a temperature rating of 105°C. Both wires have the same insulation so as far as environmental uses go they will end up being the same for both wires.
